The Korgis is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Art Garfunkel and John Lennon. Those roots explain a lot about how The Korgis arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Squeeze, Spandau Ballet, F.R. David, Kim Wilde and Murray Head, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Field, Krezip, Nicola Roberts, The Corrs and Zucchero, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 40 connections around The Korgis, reaching back through Art Garfunkel and forward to The Field. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
